Abstract

History has been in constant conflict with itself as to establishing an exact and precise definition to describe itself. There have been many great historians who have attributed a definition to it and, despite this, on several occasions they diverge a little in terms of their assertions. History starts to be seen as a science, but this enters into debate and discussion, if it really deserves to enter the same group as the exact sciences. The objective is to study several of the great characters who have contributed to the theory of history, trying to find a link between history and its exact definition, its rules and its universal law before the historian.
