Abstract
Mexican cinema has not managed to establish itself as it did in the "Golden Cinema" era (1936 - 1956). This research presents a review of the history of the film industry in Mexico and the political strategies, both national and foreign, that have influenced both the improvement and the detriment of the filmmaking in the country.
