Abstract

The text addresses the process of transformation of the economic policies of the Democratic Party between 1896 and 1939. During this period many changes happened to the economic policies of the party as a result of the various national and international challenges of the time. Addressing the changes in the economic policies of the party has a certain level of complexity, given that understanding both the historical and cultural contexts of the era is essential to being able to completely understand the topic. Because of the above, the text briefly addresses the cultural and historical contexts and how they influenced the changes in the party’s economic policies. The historical eras on which the text focuses are the Progressive Era, World War I, the Interwar period, the Roaring Twenties, and the Great Depression.
