Abstract
On March 9 of this year 2022, the editorial team of the Bloch Magazine had the opportunity to interview Dr. Renato Balderrama Santander, recognized for being the director of the Center for Asian Studies (CEA) of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, they talked about his life, his career and finally about the importance of Asian studies in the northeast -and the rest- of Mexico. This interaction is presented below.
