Issue Description

In order to explore the diversity of research approaches, addressed by students present throughout the national territory, the third issue of Bloch. Student Magazine of History has Mexican history as its main theme, contemplating in the same way works related to regional history and microhistory. The study of the last two branches mentioned has been developed in Mexico over several decades, particularly since the second half of the 20th century, for which the purpose is to fine-tune the present number according to the national trend that inclines academical research to the particular approach of the various entities of the country.


The importance of regional history and microhistory studies is supported by works such as those of Luis González and González, whose vision highlights the closeness of individuals with their localities and the impact that this relationship produces on their ways of life and perspectives of the future. world. Concepts such as "terroir" or "motherland" are familiar in this regard, since they refer to the connection of people with the territory and community they inhabit, a fact that allows a greater understanding of a whole through the study of its specific parts. In this way, it is intended to publicize the different perspectives under which these subjects are studied in Mexico, thus enriching the cognitive panorama of readers interested in this branch.
