Issue Description
History has no borders. The actions of one country can influence and inspire its transnational neighbors. For this reason, the past of a country like the United States becomes a focus of interest for academics, outside its territory. Its historical relevance is emblematic in the study of the humanities, as well as the constant social and cultural phenomena that occur in its wide diversity of inhabitants.
From the Mexican perspective, the history of the North American giant exposes an endless number of extraordinary events that are very typical of the country; this motivates historians to investigate and analyze the historical correlations and how they have built the United States of America that everyone knows. Therefore, the 5th issue of Bloch. Student Magazine of History has focused on the compilation of articles and essays that critically disseminate the social, cultural and political structure that has spun the history of the United States; works whose focus analyzes everything from food and its relationship with the African-American community to some cultural events such as the Woodstock Festival, which have reverberated throughout the continent. With this edition, the magazine intends to contribute to the promotion of studies carried out in Mexico on the United States, as well as to provide a critical vision to the revision of American History.
